Cooperation Agreement Between MDIT and the Institute of Research and Studies at Najran University

In a major strategic step that reflects the national direction toward strengthening integration between leading training and long-established academic institutions—and in line with Saudi Vision 2030 objectives for human capability development—MDIT announced the signing of an expanded joint cooperation agreement with the Institute of Research and Studies at Najran University. This agreement lays the foundation for an integrated training and development ecosystem aimed at shaping the future of professional upskilling in the region and raising the competence of national talents according to the highest global standards—opening new horizons for impactful collaboration between the private sector and prestigious universities.

This strategic alliance creates new and unprecedented opportunities for constructive cooperation between the private training sector and renowned academic institutions. It also underscores the pivotal role of connecting “field expertise” with “academic depth” in achieving comprehensive development, building a knowledge- and innovation-based economy, and fulfilling the leadership’s aspirations to make the Saudi citizen the cornerstone of development and progress.

Signing Ceremony and Leadership Attendance

The signing ceremony was attended by prominent leaders from both sides. MDIT was represented by Mr. Saud Al-Ayedh, Executive Director of Macro Development Company, while the Institute of Research and Studies at Najran University was represented by a distinguished group of the university’s academic and administrative leadership. The ceremony reflected strong optimism about the future of this partnership, which is not merely a routine cooperation protocol, but rather a strategic alliance combining the institute’s practical, field-based expertise with Najran University’s academic and research depth.

Agreement Objectives

The agreement aims to activate cooperation across several key areas, including:

  • Jointly innovating, designing, and delivering a series of specialized training and qualification programs that go beyond theoretical knowledge and precisely simulate real needs and rapid changes in the Saudi labor market.

  • Developing professional training packages based on the latest educational theories and modern technologies to ensure knowledge transfer through best-in-class methods.

  • Providing comprehensive organizational and technical support covering all stages of the training process, including preparing training halls with smart learning environments and the latest technical tools such as advanced presentation and communication systems.

  • Working to transform Najran University’s in-depth academic research and studies into practical, applied programs and hands-on professional workshops.

Statement by the Executive Director of Macro Development Company

Following the signing, Mr. Saud Al-Ayedh stated:

This partnership with Najran University, represented by the Institute of Research and Studies, marks a pivotal milestone in MDIT’s journey. We believe that collaboration between the private training sector and reputable universities is the optimal path to enhancing the credibility and reliability of the programs we offer. We are not only aiming to deliver training courses; we seek to build modern content that keeps pace with the Kingdom’s digital and professional transformation—contributing to the development of a generation of professionals capable of competing globally.

Al-Ayedh added that the institute will dedicate all its technical capabilities and human expertise to ensure the success of this agreement and convert it into tangible outcomes that trainees will experience in the near future.

Najran University’s Vision: Investing in Human Capital

Representatives of the Institute of Research and Studies at Najran University affirmed that this agreement aligns with the university’s strategy to open up to outstanding training institutions. They emphasized that serving the community and developing human capital are among the university’s top priorities, noting that cooperation with MDIT will result in high-quality programs that combine academic rigor with practical application—supporting the university’s direction to be a beacon for both knowledge and practice.

Cooperation Areas and Logistics Services

The agreement expands to include broad areas of technical and administrative cooperation, with joint work to cover:

  • Training event management: organizing specialized professional workshops, seminars, and conferences.

  • Technical and technological support: providing e-training platforms and advanced distance learning solutions.

  • Joint initiatives: launching initiatives targeting both government and private sectors to develop employee skills and re-qualify them in line with new economic changes.

  • Content development: building a library of specialized training packages in management, technology, governance, and leadership.

Toward Achieving Vision 2030 Targets

This partnership comes at a vital time as Saudi Arabia moves toward building a knowledge-based economy. By integrating MDIT’s expertise in managing training projects with Najran University’s research capabilities, the agreement directly supports the Human Capability Development Program—one of Vision 2030’s core programs—which aims to improve education and training outcomes across all stages to prepare youth for today’s and tomorrow’s labor market.

At the conclusion of the signing, both parties emphasized that this agreement marks the beginning of a new phase of constructive cooperation between MDIT and Najran University. It will contribute to preparing qualified and distinguished national talents and raising the quality of training and professional development in a way that fulfills the Kingdom’s development ambitions and strengthens its position as an ideal environment for advancing human capabilities and building a strong knowledge economy.

They also affirmed that both parties’ commitment to delivering a high-quality, fully integrated training experience is the true guarantee of the sustainability of this partnership—and of achieving a long-term positive impact on the development journey of our beloved nation.
